Grids & Aces should feel like a welcoming game table: competitive, creative, social, and safe. These Community Guidelines apply to profiles, player codes, multiplayer and Party play, messages, invitations, reports, puzzles, clues, themes, creator submissions, and every other community feature.
These Guidelines form part of the Terms of Service. The Creator Terms also apply when you use Create.
1. Be a good player
- Compete hard without attacking the people playing.
- Use display names, player codes, themes, and content that are appropriate for a general audience.
- Give honest authorship information and credit where permission requires it.
- Respect blocks, boundaries, moderation decisions, and another person's choice not to interact.
- Report genuine safety, abuse, or infringement concerns accurately.
2. Child safety and sexual content
Never create, request, upload, share, link to, joke about, normalize, or facilitate sexual exploitation or abuse of a child. Do not sexualize minors, groom or solicit minors, or attempt to move an unsafe interaction off-platform. Apparent child sexual abuse material and credible child-safety threats may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Sexually explicit material, pornography, non-consensual intimate material, sexual solicitation, and graphic sexual descriptions are not allowed. Content that is merely suggestive may also be removed when inappropriate for the Service's general-audience setting.
3. Threats, violence, and self-harm
Do not threaten, celebrate, encourage, or credibly plan violence against a person or group. Do not provide instructions whose primary purpose is to cause serious physical harm, evade law enforcement during harmful conduct, or obtain dangerous illegal goods.
Do not encourage suicide, self-injury, eating-disorder behavior, or other serious self-harm. Supportive discussion and recovery-oriented content may be allowed, but graphic or instructional content can be restricted.
If we believe someone faces an imminent threat, we may preserve information, contact emergency services, or cooperate with lawful safety requests.
4. Harassment, hate, and abuse
Do not target a person with repeated unwanted contact, humiliation, sexual harassment, threats, stalking, brigading, or coordinated abuse. Do not attack people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, serious disease, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or another protected characteristic. Slurs and dehumanizing comparisons are not allowed when used to attack or exclude.
Context matters. Educational, documentary, counterspeech, wordplay, or reclaimed-language contexts may be treated differently, but a puzzle format is not a shield for abuse.
5. Privacy, impersonation, and deception
Do not disclose another person's private contact, location, financial, government-identifier, medical, account, or intimate information without authorization. Do not use another person's name, likeness, organization, brand, or identity to deceive people. Parody must be reasonably clear and must not create a safety or fraud risk.
Do not scam, phish, manipulate purchases, falsify staff status, fabricate evidence, or misrepresent a relationship with Daygull Studios.
6. Intellectual property and authorship
Submit only material you created or have permission to use. Do not copy another creator's puzzle, clues, artwork, text, brand, or protected expression and present it as your own. Facts, common words, game rules, and ideas may not be protected in the same way as original expression, but dishonest copying and misattribution can still violate these Guidelines.
Copyright owners should use the Copyright and DMCA Policy. Trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights complaints may be sent to legal@daygullstudios.com.
7. Spam, manipulation, and platform abuse
Do not distribute repetitive promotions, irrelevant solicitations, malware, fraudulent links, or mass invitations. Do not buy, sell, or automate follows, engagement, reports, unlocks, results, or accounts. Do not exploit bugs, reverse engineer private systems, evade limits, or coordinate to manipulate rankings and discovery.
Security research should avoid accessing another person's data or disrupting the Service and should be reported privately to legal@daygullstudios.com.
8. Fair play
Do not use unauthorized automation, concealed collaboration, account sharing, network interference, intentional desynchronization, or exploits to obtain an unfair multiplayer result. House rules and friendly collaboration are welcome when the game permits them and the players understand the arrangement.
Good-faith mistakes, ordinary strategy, and playful competition are not violations. Repeatedly disrupting games, trapping players in sessions, or abusing quick interactions is.
9. Creator quality and technical integrity
Creator submissions should be playable, accurately described, and free from deliberately broken grids, impossible instructions, concealed prohibited content, or attempts to bypass review. Style, difficulty, humor, and experimental construction are not violations merely because someone dislikes them.
We may edit or request changes for clarity, formatting, safety, rights, technical reliability, or catalog fit. Approval or featuring is an editorial decision, not a judgment that the creator or work is objectively superior.
10. Reports, blocks, and appeals
Use the in-product Report action where available. Include the closest accurate reason and enough detail to locate and understand the concern. Quoting abusive material in a report for evidence is allowed. Do not file reports to retaliate, intimidate, overwhelm reviewers, or manipulate another player's account.
Blocking is a personal safety and boundary tool, not a verdict. A blocked user must not evade a block through another account. Where an appeal is available, explain what happened and why the decision should change.
For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Grids & Aces support is not an emergency service.
11. Enforcement
Depending on context and severity, we may warn, remove or limit content, restrict discovery, cancel game results, disable community or creator features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate access. Serious exploitation, credible threats, fraud, infringement, or attempts to evade enforcement may lead to immediate action.
We consider available context, harm, intent, history, remediation, and legal requirements. We may preserve records needed for safety, security, disputes, repeat-infringer enforcement, and legal compliance. We do not promise a particular outcome or disclose confidential information about another user.
